Project Description: The SFOBB is a 30,000 square foot warehouse at the foot of the Bay Bridge in Oakland. This warehouse, was built to Caltrans specifications. The project included custom built switch gear with integral transformers and specialty metering, and a programmable lighting control system to allow for flexibility controlling lighting loads. In addition, there were hazardous materials storage areas within the project that required Class I Division I wiring methods. Most of the ceiling space was open, requiring the installation of thousands of feet of exposed conduit. The routing of this conduit had to be well planned out to ensure that it was aesthetically pleasing.
