Scott Mullins (President/Owner)
Scott Mullins joined the Del Monte Electric Team in 2000 as an estimator and project manager. Scott completed his IBEW Electrician’s apprenticeship in 1991 and has over 30 years of experience in the electrical industry as a foreman, general foreman, project manager, estimator, safety manager, vice president, president and owner.
Scott oversees the daily operations of the company as the president and majority shareholder. Scott has extensive experience with healthcare, educational, design/build, and design/assist projects and is able to use his experience to identify and solve problems before they impact the project schedule or budget.
Scott is a current trustee for the Alameda County Apprenticeship Trust and was a past chairman of the NECA Codes and Standards Committee. He received the Seraphin Electrical Code Award for many years of service to the NECA Codes and Standards Committee, the East Bay Uniform Code Committee, and the Code Advisory Committee.
Chris Walker (Operations Executive)
Since joining Del Monte Electric in 2011, Chris has gained extensive experience leading projects with various delivery methods such as design/build, design/assist, integrated project delivery (IPD), and design/bid/build.
As operations executive, Chris oversees the Project Management Team making sure they have the resources needed to lead projects successfully. Chris also works with our General Superintendent to manage and coordinate field management and key personnel ensuring projects are properly staffed at every stage of the project.
Chris holds a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from California State University, Chico.
Dustin Fly (Preconstruction Executive)
Dustin started as in intern with Del Monte in 2008 and became a full-time employee after graduating from Chico State in 2010. Dustin has extensive experience budgeting projects with various delivery methods such as conceptual estimating and target value design with design/build and IPD projects, as well as traditional plan/bid/spec estimating of design/bid/build projects.
He understands the importance of working as a collaborative team member and recognizes the key elements that yield a cost effective and efficient design, helping deliver projects on time and within budget.
As preconstruction executive, Dustin manages all estimating and preconstruction pursuits to ensure that all proposals are created to meet the high standards of Del Monte Electric.
Scott Barreuther (General Superintendent/Safety Manager)
Scott Barreuther joined the Del Monte Electric Team in 2004 as a foreman. Scott completed his IBEW Local 302 Electrician’s apprenticeship in 1997 and has over 25 years of experience in the electrical industry as a foreman, general foreman, senior general foreman, general superintendent, and safety manager.
Scott’s extensive experience brings value to Del Monte Electric bridging communication between the teams in the office and the field. Scott oversees the safety of all projects and manages foreman training ensuring the team is current on all necessary training.
Daniel Sawyer (Chief Financial Officer)
Daniel Sawyer joined Del Monte Electric in 2021 as the Chief Financial Officer and head of the Company’s accounting department, financial reporting, and daily operations.
Daniel has 10+ years of experience in the construction industry. He is a certified public accountant and holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from California State University, Chico.
