Project Description: The Solar Energy Research Center (SERC) was the new construction of a three story, 42,000, LEED Gold building featuring numerous flexible lab spaces. The facility was built as a collaboration between the Department of Energy and UC Berkeley to develop and test new forms of energy.  The electrical portion of SERC featured the latest control systems, energy efficient LED light fixtures, rooftop solar, emergency back-up power systems and state of the art communication and signal systems.  Flexible wiring systems were utilized to allow for maximum flexibility within lab spaces.
